You're equipping teachers to nurture the Christian faith in young people

SRE teacher, Rachel, knows how valuable SRE is to a young person’s faith journey. She’s had the joy of teaching a Year 4 class this year with the added delight of having previously taught the same students when they were in kindergarten. Rachel has witnessed so much growth in how they navigate the Bible for themselves. She says:

“I really want my students to be able to read the Bible for themselves and hold it in their hands and navigate reading it. We do one lesson from the Curriculum book over two weeks. This means that we have time to do more than basic comprehension. We get the Bible in their hands from the first week of the cycle so they can look up  verses by themselves. At the start of the year, it took most of the lesson to get everyone to the right place in their Bibles, but by the end of the term, in four minutes the entire class got to the right spot, and it was just the biggest moment! That felt like a big achievement…”
