Child protection statement

Anglican Youth and Education Diocese of Sydney (trading as ‘Youthworks’) acknowledge that we have a legal, moral and biblical responsibility to ensure a positive, safe and supportive environment for the children, youth and families that we work with.

Youthworks is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children, and we have zero tolerance of child abuse.

All Youthworks employees and volunteers are required to undergo a Working With Children Check, and adopt procedures and practices in accord with child protection legislation, in order to minimise the risk of a child being abused and to respond appropriately to allegations of child abuse.

Youthworks adheres to mandatory reporting requirements, and requires all employees and volunteers to report, via the CEO to the Department of Family and Community Services, if they have reasonable grounds to suspect a child or young person is at risk of significant harm.

You can view Youthworks Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct towards Children.

If you have any questions, or would like to report an allegation of abuse, please email us.
