Your support goes far beyond our city

Christian Education Publications (CEP) has blessed local churches and schools for several decades by providing materials to support the faith journey of young people and their families.

And as CEP is a part of Youthworks, you have had a key role in helping to bless those schools and churches, through your support.

You’ve not only helped bring gospel-focused material to families, churches and hundreds of thousands of school children around Sydney; you’ve also provided those materials around Australia. 

SRE teachers on the Gold Coast have been using CEP materials for a few decades, and in more recent years representatives have been able to travel and train coordinators and teachers there.

One SRE Coordinator on the Gold Coast recently reflected on the value of CEP resources for her SRE role. She says:

“The convenience of the resource is that it is sequential. That means it is put together in a way that make sense as you teach throughout the year, and it is biblically sound. I know that in the three-year cycle there is the balance between Old Testament and New Testament and a lot of the most fantastic stories are in the Old Testament, but from everything in Connect it always points to Jesus’ coming”.

Thanks to the generosity of Youthworks supporters these materials and the associated training are helping to ensure young people far beyond Sydney are being effectively oriented to Christ for life. 

And the materials are being well received by the students too.

“It is not only relatable to the students, it’s entertaining as well. The material combines story with music and drama and an array of other teaching tools. About 2 years ago now, a child came up to me excitedly, I think he was in year 2 or 3, and he said, ‘what is on the show today?’”, she says.
