Judy became an SRE teacher when she discovered it was one of the only ways her grandchildren were hearing about Jesus

Judy* became an SRE teacher when she discovered it was one of the only ways that her grandchildren were hearing about Jesus. Her daughter had stopped going to church, but still sent her children to SRE!

The impact she saw SRE having in her grandchildren’s lives inspired her to help make that same experience possible for other kids – as a Scripture teacher.

She says,

“There’s more and more kids who come from non-Christian homes and the only way they hear about our Lord Jesus and their loving God is through Scripture in school.”

“There was only so much I could do to encourage faith in my grandchildren … My church was looking for an SRE Helper to help with classes and I thought, ‘I can do that!’ … I went from being an SRE Helper to an SRE Teacher by taking on the extra accreditation training and study.

“It also helped me in talking to my grandchildren because I would talk to them about what I was teaching and they'd tell me what they were learning … They truly believe that God is good and you can talk to him any time!”
