See how SRE transformed Kelly’s life with the gospel!
After becoming a Christian when she was eight through SRE, Kelly* grew up knowing she wanted to help other young people have the same opportunity.
She shares …
I see SRE as a way for us to engage more kids with the Bible, particularly non-Christian kids, like I was … Children, even when they’re quite young, are building a world view, so you want to impact their world and help them understand who they are, who God is, and what life is about.
But the pressure to drive SRE out of our schools is more intense than ever, with opponents campaigning relentlessly to turn public and political opinion against SRE.
That’s why Kelly became a Guardian of Faith. Because through her monthly support, she helps equip SRE teachers with the best training and resources they need to keep teaching children about hope and joy in Jesus.
It’s exciting to be a Guardian of Faith and to know there are others who want SRE to continue and be taught well, and who are praying for SRE.
Now, Kelly and other committed friends like her are playing a critical role in helping to make SRE in our public schools more effective – and ensure young people continue to enjoy hearing the gospel at school.
My SRE teachers didn’t just teach us faithfully: they lived out what they taught ... They taught me, they welcomed me, they loved me ... I owe my faith to them.
