A new year has kicked off at Youthworks College, with a new cohort of students ready to dive into God’s Word together.

Hannah Trevitt, one of our first year students, is loving her studies so far – especially integrating what she is learning with her ministry at St Andrew’s Roseville:

“It’s very holistic teaching, looking at all different topics and seeing how everything fits together. And I’m going home and thinking about how what I’ve learnt applies to my ministry. It’s really practical and thought-provoking.”

“When I’m meeting with youth and discipling them, now I think about how I can challenge them, like the college lecturers have been challenging me. I think about what provoking questions can I ask, to make them think a bit more about what things they’re struggling with, and things they’ve said.”

With Youthworks College pausing face-to-face teaching due to the Coronavirus crisis, Hannah and her fellow students are continuing their first Semester subjects online. But that hasn’t stopped the College community being a real source of strength for her during this difficult time:

“Everyone is so loving and accepting of me. People want you to succeed and they help each other because they want to see you flourish in your ministry. That community of support has been a real highlight.”

Thank you for your support of Youthworks College, which is continuing to equip passionate people like Hannah to disciple the next generation, even through the Coronavirus!
