She learnt about the love of God, and it gave her life.

Kate* started visiting youth group with her friends at just the right time.

She was invited by her friends to a winter camp where she would truly hear the gospel for the first time.

“I was going through a pretty rough time in my life. I was kind of not having good thoughts about myself and was quite depressed at the time,” Kate says.

But a week of diving into the scriptures deeply and living in Christian community was what helped remind Kate she is worth so much to the God who made her.

“We had a talk on the last night at the fireside, led by one of the leaders at the time. He was saying a lot about how God loves us, and no matter if at any point in your life we don't love ourselves, God has such a great love for us and will love us endlessly,” she remembers.

“I broke down in that moment and realised that it didn't matter how I felt about myself, because God loved me and it brought me to God. I gave my life over to him.”

Several years on and Kate is flourishing in her faith, even taking up the opportunity to serve and learn as part of Youthworks Year 13 program.

Her story is possible thanks to support from people like you, who are partnering with local churches, through Youthworks, to see young people come to know Jesus and follow him all their lives.

Thank you for investing in them.
