About the role

Youthworks is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Conference Centres team. As Maintenance Coordinator you will oversee and have responsibility for all maintenance operations, including but not limited to staffing, repairs and projects; to ensure quality service from start to finish in all aspects of site maintenance.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage a high-quality operations-centred maintenance service, with a strong focus on guests, that achieves a pleasant experience for guests and promotes Youthworks in a positive way.

  • Oversight and management of maintenance, repairs, upkeep and project development as required including but not limited to staffing, allocating tasks, regulating daily workloads (of staff and self), major repair works and capital works projects all within budgetary limits.

  • Repair and upkeep of existing buildings and property in cooperation with maintenance staff.

  • Ensure that all maintenance equipment and other items are maintained and stored properly.

You will need to demonstrate

  • Trade qualification/s

  • Manual drivers license

  • Proven knowledge of Industry and Safety Standards

  • Experience with managing budgets

  • Experience leading a team of staff

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority

  • Proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and databases

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service

  • Strong work ethic

  • A personal Christian faith.

Additional information

Remuneration will be approximately $60,000-$65,000 per annum dependent on experience, skills and qualifications.

Hepatitis A and B Immunisations, WorkCover NSW licences, Chainsaw certification/s and management or supervision qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Current driver's licence and own transport are essential as there is no public transport anywhere near the Youthworks Conference Centres.
