Youthworks Conference Centres provide a place of temporary community for groups for relational and personal growth. About the role
To play a key role in contributing to our client’s satisfaction and enhance Youthworks’ reputation, whilst undertaking ground keeping responsibilities as well as maintenance responsibilities to ensure quality service from start to finish.
Maintain, repair and upkeep of existing buildings, property, plant and maintenance related equipment, gardens, lawns, pathways, paved areas, roadways, drains and surrounding areas, as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
Ensure that all grounds equipment, chemicals and other related items are maintained and stored properly and to industry standards.
Ensure that all repair works, projects and upkeep needs are met and dealt with in a timely fashion, including after hours urgent maintenance needs as required.
You will need to demonstrate
Experience in grounds maintenance
Experience with irrigation systems
Proven knowledge of Industry and Safety Standards
Possess a valid manual drivers licence and have experience driving a manual vehicle
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority
A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail
An ability to work with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes
A strong work ethos
Willingness to work in an overtly Christian environment and within an Anglican organisation
It is desirable that the successful applicant has trade or horticultural qualifications, back hoe experience, chemical handling/application qualifications, Hep A and Hep B immunisations and WorkCover NSW Licences.
Current drivers licence and own transport is essential as there is no public transport anywhere near the Port Hacking Conference Centres.
