Youthworks Conference Centres provide a place of temporary community for groups for relational and personal growth. About the role

The purpose of this position is to play a key role in contributing to our client’s satisfaction and enhance Youthworks’ reputation, whilst providing high quality meal service & hospitality to required specifications and standards.

This casual position is generally 3 hours shifts in the early evening (5pm–8pm) and available Monday through Thursday. The position is not rostered on every night, rather it forms part of the roster to ensure year round operations.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure that meal service is provided to client groups in a timely fashion including liaising with catering staff in regards to meal portions and service of special dietary meals.

  • Ensure that the food service area(s) are properly prepared and ready for meal service and reset after each meal.

  • Ensure that all hospitality related items are stored properly and maintained to appropriate standards

You will need to demonstrate

  • Customer service skills

  • A strong work ethos

  • An ability to work with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes

  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to work in an overtly Christian environment and within an Anglican organisation

Hospitality or customer service experience and qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Additional information

A current drivers licence and own transport is essential as there is no public transport anywhere near the Youthworks Conference Centres.
