About the role

As a Casual Cook at Youthworks Conference Centres Blue Mountains, you will be responsible for contributing to our client’s satisfaction and enhance Youthworks’ reputation, through preparing menu items to the required specifications and standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the catering staff

  • Manage high quality client-centered catering service that achieves a pleasant experience for clients and promotes Youthworks in a positive way

  • Prepare ingredients/food for cooking and service

  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen

  • Perform cooking duties including baking and or pastry cooking

You will need to demonstrate

  • Experience cooking for large groups

  • A passion for cooking

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority

  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail

  • An ability to work with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes

  • Strong work ethos

  • Strong customer focus

  • Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation.

Additional information

Hospitality related qualifications, Hep C and Hep B Immunisations are desirable but not essential.
